In our world, we are bombarded with constant noise. We seem to live on an avalanche of stimuli. Every device we own has streaming capabilities. There’s always something to read, watch, and listen to. While we watch the news, more information scrolls at the bottom of the screen. We have to decide what we will pay attention to. Although it is informative, it could be distracting. It becomes hard to process it all, and choosing what we will believe is even more challenging. The noise of today’s culture makes it easy to compromise. Today’s culture pressures believers to blend in, but God calls us to stand out.
