Our History

It began with a directive, a vision, and a purpose from God, birthed in the heart of Timothy L. Fryar:   “Go and make disciples!” which is The Great Commission.

Christ Centered Church held its first worship service on Sunday, January 2, 2005, at the home of Pastor Tim.  While Wednesday night Bible study remained in Pastor’s home, on February 13, 2005, Sunday night worship services moved to First United Methodist Church in Douglasville, Georgia.  On August 10, 2005, Bible study also moved to that location.  In August 2006, we added a morning worship service which was held at the Downtown Douglasville Conference Center.  Shortly after, God led Pastor Tim to seek a place that we could call home.  We began a renovation project at 6472 E. Church Street, just down the street from the Conference Center in March 2007.  On June 10, 2007, we had our first service at our new home.  Pastor Tim received a directive from God that Christ Centered Church was called to expand and on January 8, 2012, an 8:00 am service was added to the Sunday worship schedule at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta.  After much prayer, Pastor Tim was led to combine both services into one and at one location.  Therefore, one year later on January 6, 2013, Christ Centered Church became a mobile church and began having its worship service at Riverside Intermediate School in Mableton, GA. We are presently located at Lindley Sixth Grade Academy in Mableton, GA  and have been since January 2014.

It is apparent that God has His hand on Christ Centered Church.  The Lord is prospering the church both spiritually and numerically.  The spiritual attributes that best describe the Christ Centered Church worship experience are its sound biblical teaching and its intimate praise and worship.  God has graced us to reach higher heights and deeper depths as we empower not just the local community, but the nations as well.  This is merely the beginning of the many promises the Lord has spoken to Christ Centered Church and it does not yet appear what we shall become.
